Introduction

Hello, Thanks for looking in! For the past year I have been increasingly reacquainting myself with the wonderful world of Battletech. Having mostly played it in the late 80s and early 90s, my knowledge of what transpired sometime after 3055 was seriously lacking. Though I did not play, I continued to buy the books from Fasa, FanPro, and Catalyst Games Lab. So, I have been reading all of those as fast as I can to catch-up. I have also got into painting the miniatures for the game as well as building and collecting various buildings and terrain features. In Fact, I have a scenario I designed from the 4th Succession War that is ready to go. All of the miniatures are painted, the buildings made, and the terrain is almost done, I just need to find five other players and time to run the game. Moreover, I have five more scenarios in the pipe: from a small periphery battle (perhaps Ryan’s Rebels’ last) to nuclear weapon hunting and a beach landing on Luthein during the Jihad.

In the coming months will share with you my experiences as a “born again” Battletech player and collector. I already have so much to share, such as where to buy, where to play, how to paint and build minis, and where some of the best information on the web concerning Battletech is located. Much of what I will share has been explored by others, so I will be introducing you to their web sites, blogs, and photos as well. I will try to give credit where credit is do, and I look forward to your comments concerning Battletech in all its incarnations—as well as 6mm, 1/285, or 1/300 terrain building. I hope to see you back here soon.

  1. Great to see another Battletech player blogging. I will have to dig up some of my older items to share.
